Which way would magma flow if we'd cut the Earth (in half)?

Would it go up or down and what would happen with earth crust?

  1. if the two halves were separated a fair way apart, then the magma would either stay with it's half of the earth (due to the gravitational pull of the half-earth) or flow towards the sun, which has a strong gravitational pull

    however, if they're not drawn apart, chances are the earth would sort of join back together, like two magnets that you separate across a small distance
