I have a lot of books mostly current. The oldest set of books that I have are from 2004. I wanted to know where i can sell them. I tried doing craiglist but i did not receive any feed back so far. What other website can I go to?

  1. craigslist doesn't have a really good way for buyers to find books that is why it is not a good site for selling.

I agree that Amazon is good but first you have to understand what you have.  Your books dated back to 2004 may not be worth the paper they are printed on.

Try going to a site such as www.campusbooks.com and see if wholesalers are currently buying the book you are looking for.  This is a quick way to unload the books and get cash.

Look in your city for a college bookstore or Barnes and noble and call to see if they are buying back the books.

If all else fails you can try Amazon, Half, Abe or Alibris.  They are all good sites for selling books.

  2. I agree with the first answer. . .. I've had an incredible amount of luck with Amazon. . .look on the right side of the page of the homepage. . I believe it says "sell your stuff" or "sell your textbooks" or something.  Otherwise try seaching for Amazon Marketplace. ..  It's really simple through Amazon, I think. . . Much easier than anything I've sold on eBay.

  3. There is a new website I started using http://www.thefairbookexchange.com to sell my old text books.  Its free to list them.  The site is new so the user base isn't huge but its got over 150 schools on it.

  4. I'm really into amazon.com
