Which websites can we buy stocks/shares for UK companies? Which can we buy online?

I live in UK hence want an UK service. Which online service do you use?

You will need to open an account .. similar to a Bank Account .. (your existing Bank / Building Society may well offer investment services) ... if you have up to £7000 per year to invest, I suggest you get an "ISA Stocks & Shares" account ... you might also want to consider a SIPP (Pension - you get a Tax rebate on all your 'contributions', however (unless you reach age 50 before 2102) you can't touch it until you are at least age 55)

You can go to one of the specialist 'brokers' (such as Hargreaves Lansdown) = check out the Investors comparison sites (thisismoney, fool.uk, moneysavingsexpert ect)
