    my mum is getting married soon and we have noticed soo many ppl are going for the square cakes these days so the second one is nice and round and different! also brings about a classiness to the cake!

  7. the first one..personally dont like the netting--reminds me of fishing net/stockings...

    i had a similar one as the first at my graduation but it was a turqoise blue--so pretty :)

  13. I like the square shapes better, but I prefer the design on the other one.  The square shaped cake design has been done a lot recently.  The other one is not as common and looks great.

  18. I really like both of them but if I had to chose, you said you were going to put gold embroidery on the first one instead of the red, so my vote will go for #1

    The first cake looks like the icing has not been professionally done. It is messy and a little in your face. Plus you see these types of cakes everywhere.

    The second cake is classic and elegant and looks to be of good quality. Plus it is not often you see a fully metallic cake.

    Definately go with the second one for class and to make a statement.
