I'm 37 years old, married, have a wonderful 8 year old daughter and a loving seafarer husband who is a good breadwinner. I am given the opportunity, after all these "lie low" years, to pursue further self advancement professionally and financially, though out of the country. Which will I choose?

  1. You are lucky to have so many blessings in life.  Well I think you have to ask yourself, can you stand to leave your family or stay with them and be contented with what your husband could give to you.  It's your own decision and you have to consider also that your daughter needs a mother and she is only 8 years old. Girl no one can decide it's only you. Good luck

  2. Do you mean that you have a choice to advance yourself at the expense of your husband and daughter?  Not fair to them. After all, you made the choice to get married and have a child, now you should stick with them. I think it would be selfish of you to do otherwise.

  3. Family First...no matter what!!!

  4. I support you going after your "dream". Just weigh out what will happen to your husband and 8 year old if you left. Your daughter is a bit young to be living without a mother for a while though. I think it's best if you put her first and see if she would support you. You wouldn't want to leave the country with your daughter's disapproval. To be honest you sound a little selfish, but I think by going after this career, it could make your life feel even more fulfilled. If only you could have this choice a couple years from now when your daughter is older.
