  1. Honda Silverwing.

  2. Try Kymco they make 3 different styles in a 250 also Hyosung makes good scooters. These are not imported junk but well made reliable scooters. People trade in a burgman for the Kymco xciting 250.

  3. I hate to tell you this, but with that kind of budget, you'd be better off waiting.  You might be able to get a reliable used 50cc scooter with 1500... but if you are looking for a larger engine than 50cc, or a new scooter, then you are more than likely going to be looking at something like SunL or Rocketa (or some other chinese scooter)  in which case, i've read terrible things about these.  In most cases, people had problems within a month.  If you can save about 1K more, you can get a great scooter that will be reliable and last literally 10x longer.  In addition you're experience will be a pleasant one instead of a nightmare.  Good luck.

  4. The $1500 is a problem in getting a good scooter. You can get the Chinese scooters in crates for that price, but you may not know what you are getting. All sorts of problems have occured from these purchases, but occasionally you Can get a good one. I wouldn't take a chance.

I bought a cfMoto 150 from a dealer that suggested that it was one of the best. It cost $2300 + tax & lic.

  5. See the Suzuki Burgman 400, Burgman 650, and 650 Executive.

The 400 has a lot of space below the seat, so it carries groceries rather well. They have ridiulous maximum speed, and get (insert big lie of your choice about mileage) mpg.
