David Haye KO'd #2 Cruiserweight MAccarenelli in 2 rounds with one big right hand and a viscious finishing assault. Peter caught CHampion Maskaev with hard powerful heavyweight shots and finished the job and sealed a shot at undisputed champion Wladomir Klischko. But whose win was more impressive and whose future will be more successful in the heavyweight divison?

  1. Haye was a lot better...peter vs Maskaev fight was terrible to watch

  2. I would have to go with Haye's second round knockout.  Peter had a good knockout, but to me, both Peter and Maskaev looked slow and lethargic prior to the knockout (with the exception of the third round).  Haye showed great handspeed and excellent power and its going to be interesting to see how far he goes at heavyweight with his exceptional power.  With Peter, I'd like to see him fight a rematch with Wladimir (even though I think he'd lose again) to determine the first true heavyweight champ since Lennox Lewis, but it looks like the WBC is going to make him fight Vitali first.  I can't really say who has the better future because I've never seen Haye fight at heavyweight but I know he does own a knockout win against a heavyweight with a good record and I'd like to see him face Wladimir after one or two more fights because Haye certainly has the power to knock him out, but there's still a question mark regarding his chin and ability to get inside Wladimir's long jab.

  3. Both fighters showed good boxing skills in their wins saturday night. Haye with his speed and power, and Peter with his new developed boxing skills to go with his power. As far as best KO???? Haye's stoppage of Big Mac was impressive for his last fight before moving up to Heavyweight.

  4. Haye win is more impressive. Maskaev been KO 5 times before and he is 39 years old...so Peter win was expected.

  5. neither i seen bought of them and Haye took many people by surprise but I think  mac  just had a off night as for peter he ain't great but i would rather see him fight then any other heavyweight

  6. I saw Peter vs. Masgaev but did not see Haye vs. Maccarenelli, so I think Haye was the more impressive of the two.  I see people questioning whether Haye is big enough to compete as a heavyweight.  I think Peter may be too big (maybe too fat is more accurate) to be compete.

Championship fighters are athletes.  Peter looked like anything but an athlete last night.  He'd better get his act together or he's going to be the new Buster Douglas.  Any decent heavyweight with good movement and a decent punch should do very well against the Peter we saw last night.

A certain amount of hype is almost required in boxing today, but Peter's "WHO's NEXT?  WHO's NEXT?" was laughable.  I think he's going to be "NEXT."
