Which wire is memory? car stero?

1986 toyota celica...someone cut the stock harness and the stero i bought has a memory wire which is yello, and also power coming to it...i need to know why my stero wont remember any settings...on the top of the stero it says yellow=b+ MEMORY.....but it has a 12v to it...help

  1. you ned to find out the color chart/wire diagram for your car. just because the colors on your headunit are that color to function doesnt mean thats how your car is color coordinated. the reason you keep losing your settings is because the headunit is losing power. im almost 99.99% sure your headunit gets constant power, and thats how its keep those settings


  2. That wire needs to have power to it even if the key is off. You turn off the key, nothing is powering the memory. The red wire goes to key on ower.
