Which woofer: 2 15s or 1 18?

Question

i know i know...more cone area= more bass and such...MY MAIN GOAL IS AROUND 150DB WITH GOOD SQ...i have and envoy which isnt a suburban when it comes to trunk space but it isnt a neon...i was planning on 1 18 btl with a 22x18x36 box tuned to 30nz...the port will be 20.5 in high, 6 in wide , and 36 in long(goes to back of box and curves inward)...but for my trunk space i feel that putting 2 btl 15s will be difficult cuz i dont know if thats enough space for the woofers to maximize potential...2 btls 15s or 1 monsterous 18?...if i get the i 18 ill give it a better amp than if i got the 2 15s(ex i might give hifonics to 15s and memphis mmats or rockford to 1 18)

---which amps r better than the ones i mentioned(is sundown real power)?

i would go for the 2 15s cuz 2 15s is 30 inches of sound and 1 18 is only 18 inches of sound i would def go for the 2 subs over one anyday

i dont know what "v" is smoking but he just made himself sound like a complete idiot.  i believe he said with 2 15's u get 30 inches of sound but with an 18 u get 18 inches of sound.  What the h**l? It has to do with surface area, not diameter.  thats why kickers get deep and loud, because there square and have more suface area.  One square 18" sub has just about as much surface area as 2 circular 15" subs, so they move basically the same amount of air.  whatever u decide to do, make sure the sub is powered right, in fact over power it

a box that size needs a port that is 45.5" long to be tuned to 30Hz...you actually at about 33Hz not counting sub displacement.

for subs have you looked at soundsplinter? the ones you mentioned, i highly recommend any of them. i am also a fan of single sub setups. i have a single 15" brahma with a 1200 cadence A7HC pushing it...it does 146+dB...so what you looking for should be pretty obtainable.

for amps, stay away from the minstream...they are usually not the greatest because they produce so many quality is usually lost...i do recommend memphis...highly recommend cadence the zrs line is pretty sweet and you can strap two of the together.
