  1. They both improve memory and concentration, as well as mental clarity. I suggest you take both, as they work in a synergistic manor. As what which is better, there is no scale, it depends on your condition and what you are using it for, i assume for memory enhancement. Ginkgo is more beneficial in the sense that it improves circulation around the body, is an antioxidant, and improves blood flow to the brain and heart. PS is good for memory, i have not tried this supplement. I find ginkgo works well for memory, especially close to exams, it has been scientically proven in clinical trials to work.

  2. Fairly good evidence indicates that ginkgo is effective for Alzheimer's disease and other severe forms of memory and mental function decline; when used for this purpose, it appears to be as effective as standard drugs.

Inconsistent evidence hints that ginkgo might be helpful for enhancing memory and mental function in seniors without severe memory loss as well.  Weak evidence hints that ginkgo (alone or in combination with ginseng or vinpocetine) may be helpful for enhancing memory or alertness in younger people.

Combining phosphatidylserine  along with ginkgo may increase its efficacy.

One substantial, well-designed double-blind, placebo-controlled study found evidence that ginkgo extract taken at a dose of 480 mg or 240 mg daily may be helpful for anxiety.

Ginkgo appears to be effective for the treatment of restricted circulation in the legs due to hardening of the arteries.

The evidence for PS in dementia is fairly strong. There is some evidence that PS can also help people with ordinary age-related memory loss. In studies people with the most severe memory loss showed the most improvement.

Weak evidence suggests that PS might decrease the release of the hormone cortisol which is responsible for anxiety and suppressing you metabolism.  It is seen more and more in diet products.
