Which would You rather have???

Question

These are very tough decisions. This is the Han Ram trade for Josh Beckett and Mike Lowell a few years ago. Has it paid off for the Marlins or did the Red Sox win the deal. Take your choices for both years.

Who would your rather have in 2004:

Hanley Ramirez (Top minor league prospect)

or

Josh Beckett (Young Ace) and Mike Lowell

Who would you Rather have in 2008:

Hanley Ramirez (Is one of the best and youngest SS yet)

or

Josh Beckett (Top 5 pitcher) and Mike Lowell (WS MVP)

Its not even close.  The Red Sox have won a world championship since the deal and are in position to win more.  Han-Ram, sure hes a great player but the Sox have the payroll to buy a solid shortstop anytime.  Quality aces are hard to come by, just ask the Yanks!?!

Because of Hanley rapidly becoming the number one player, this deal has turned out better for both. The Marlins got the player to build around. The Sox got the world series.

The Sox are the biggest group of ***holes I have ever seen.  First they sell the Great Bambino to my Bombers.  Then they trade for Josh Beckett.  I always point out that they traded away Han-Ram to get the chin-pubed douche.  Well, turns out their pitcching is in no need for help since they have a great young group of prospects.  They still have Dice-k and Schilling.  without the trade, the Sox would look scary.  But then again, they still can't touch the Pinstripers.
