Which would be a better bike 09 suzuki 500 or kawasaki 500r?

Honestly, the question you ask is too debatable.  Each bike is very reliable and has been around for a long time.  So, either one you choose, will not be a bad choice.  However, me personally, I went with the Ninja 500R.  I think, even without full fairing, this bike looks better.  It also has a little more low end torque.  Both bikes are considered great for beginners and you will not get bored with it anytime soon.

THey are pretty much the same. The Kawasaki has a little more horsepower. Just pick one that you like to sit on and you like to look at.
