Which would be a better guitar to buy? an epiphone g-400 or les paul?

im going to buy a guitar but i cant pick one out... i like playing ac/dc, guns and roses, zeppelin, and some rise against and foo fighters songs. so which would be a much more suitable guitar?

if g-400 which one, the standard, the g-310 variation, the limited edition with emg pick ups, the sg special?

if les paul, the standard plain or plus top, the studio, the special II, the lp-100?

Well, i bought a les paul standard last week and it sounds great for AC/DC and guns and roses. I love the sound of it and glad its the guitar i picked.
