Which would be a better investment?

My parents are putting me on lock down and took back the volvo they gave me and I have to buy a car with the $7900 I'm left with. Which car would be better in the long run? A 1999-2002 Lexus ES300 or a 1997-2002 Toyota 4runner? Gas mileage isn't an issue.

Which ever one is the cheapest to service and get parts for. All cars need work sooner or later, check out how many km's or miles the car has done before buying and get the service history.

The Lexus will, Lexus makes luxury cars and they are owned by toyoa so they have the reputation as well.
