Which would be better? Serpae Tetras or TIger Barbs?

Question

I have a relatively smaller tank and I'm only going to get a couple of one kind of fish. I've narrowed it down to Serpae Tetras or Tiger Barbs.

I'd like to know which are easier to take car of, which would be more active, and any other behavioral information that would be relevant.

I would go with the Serpaes. they're smaller and, I think, better looking.

Well it depends on what size tank you have. 20+ you can keep the Barbs. 10+ (nothing under 10) you can keep the Tetras.

Keep in mind that the Tiger Barbs grow up to 3" EACH and can nip fins, but they won't if they're in a school of 5 or more.

The Tetras are slightly smaller (2.5"), but they still may nip fins.

well i would go with the tetras since they are very active and have a better tempermant and don't forget they are smaller
