  1. i thought city driving was stop and start; therefore it would be constant speed (alothough 100mph is a little extreme)

  2. city driving

  3. City driving will be best for mileage. Over 100mph is way too many RPMs'  because of the gas needed to propel the 3000 lb car past the air that is trying to slow it down. 20 mpg at 30 mph vs. 4 mpg or less at 100 is about a normal ratio.

  4. I'm guessing city driving if your staying at a certain speed and not stopping and starting a lot. I know the stop and go driving kills gas mileage because you have to get your car moving then stop to get it moving again. And driving at 100 mph probably drinks gas also since your close the the engines redline pushing 4000 RPM's.  Good Luck

  5. I would love to think 100 MPH My Cobra would still be in 3 rd gear. In 5 th gear the gas mileage would be improved a lot. My answer is 100 MPH

  6. 100 miles on the highway. once an object is in motion, it takes less energy to keep it in motion versus stopping it and starting it. assuming your doing the speed limit. stop and go driving and city driving are pretty much the same thing.

  7. city driving will be the best ,even though some if it is stop and go its still will get better mileage than driving 100 mph ,that uses a lot of gas especially on today's vehicles, they was designed to get good gas mileage at normal driving speeds, which is considered to be from 45-65 mph, anything over that and really all your doing is wasting gas, unless you can run down hill all day city driving will get you better mileage, good luck.
