A person spreading huge lies about you or the fools that would believe them?

It has been my experience that people who believe the lies where looking for a reason to dislike you in the first place.

  1. I try not to give anyone any ammunition. Trust no one !!!

"Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest."

                                       -- Mark Twain

  2. The person telling the lies, the person listening to the lier should always check out the tale if it is going to hurt someone.  I have often said gosh I'll have to go ask her about that.  You hardly ever know in advance that some one is going to tell a vicious lie about someone.

  3. I'd confront the person spreading the lies and watch him swallow his teeth and the people that believed the liar I would laugh at!!  Remember, "he who laughs last, laughs loudest"!!!

Of course when I was younger I would have used another technique!!!  LOL!!!

  4. The person spreading the lies.

  5. The person spreading the lies

  6. Neither one are friends. If you go through a rough time, you find out who your real friends are.

  7. The people spreading the lies would get me quite annoyed, but the people believing the lies would really ....  me off. They had the choice to believe or not believe the accusation and they chose to believe without proof other than someones word

  8. People who worry about what others think of them.  No two birthdays suits are fashioned alike you know.  Like or dislike ME

    , not my problem.

  9. Both would be bad, but the one telling the lies could end up ruining your reputation. That happened to me not long ago when a long time so called friend told a very bad lie on me. I can not and will not ever forgive her for what she told about me.

  10. Either way, it's unfair, but then, life is often unfair.

  11. the believers

  12. I have always kept my life private. (Not counting yahoo answers)

I have associates, but only one tried and true friend who is 90 years old.

I keep people at arms length and don't mince words about it.

I do have a growing family that I love and they keep us pretty busy, with birthdays, weddings and new arrivals and all but two live in the same town as my hubby and I.

I do realize that not everyone can rely on family for their social life, but I would be angry with the lies and the believer.

  13. Neither, because it is NOT MY JOB TO BE LIKED OR BELIEVED! I know the truth, and that's what counts.

I learned not to trip out on stuff like that a LONG time ago.

  14. I'd have to put them both in the same category....one is no better than the other. No values, no class, no character.

  15. Why anyone would tell a lie on someone is beyond me. It is a terrible thing to do. I have not told a lie on anyone in my 63 years. The lie most surly would come back to haunt you. If you are angry, then this is your problem to deal with. People tend to believe the bad about someone rather than find out for themselves what the truth is.  Poppy

  16. The person spreading the lies would anger me more.

I would wonder what the object of the exersise could be,

Anyone who mattered to me would know he/she was lying

and the other poor suckers can believe what they want.

  17. Neither would actually ANGER me, but it would reinforce what I already know is true about MOST PEOPLE....you just can't trust em!

If someone believes what they hear & don't take the time to even try to get to know the other person, then it's all just a waste of time & space anyway, in my honest opinion.  What I find to be the most offensive is when a person just DECIDES that another person is spreading lies about them when, in fact, nothing could be further from the actual truth of the matter at hand!

  18. The people who believe the lies.

  19. The person spreading the lies would make me angrier.  After all, they are actively trying to hurt me.

The fools that believe them are only morons.  Can I fault them for that?
