Which would you pick dominican republic or costa rico?

My aunt is going to take me on a a trip for my graduation gift! She told me to pick a place and I am narrowing it down to costa rica and DR. Which one would you pick and why? WHat is the best time to go weather wise!?

Costa Rica is famous for its ecotourism thanks to having more than a fourth of the country protected as national parks. The most popular activities include hiking, canopying, whitewater rafting and rain forest tours. It's the place to go for adventure.

Another option for seeing Costa Rica is a western Caribbean cruise that stops there. You can do a day excursion to canopying while you are there. We had a blast doing it.

If you want a restful vacation, then Dominican Republic is the place to go. It has great all-inclusive resorts and beautiful beaches. DR is the second most popular tourism destination in the Caribbean for that reason.

After eight visits to the Caribbean, we still think of DR as our favorite family vacation. All three of our teens loved it there.

The ideal time to go to either one is in the spring because the hurricane season is strongest from June through October. But don't let that stop you. We have not had a problem with the weather when we have gone there during that time.

If you like to try something different I would go to Costa Rica. They have an excursion called the canopy tour, you zip line over the rain forest. It's exciting and scary at the same time.

I chose Costa Rica because it's a different kind of vacation

than a just a beach destination. Lots of things to see and do. Research the sites I have provided.

Congratulations with your graduation. I would suggest to go to the Dominican Republic - Puerto Plata. Why ? Very simple,

here you have everything as well for you as for your aunt. Lot to see and to discover, Ocean World ( swim with dolphins) you have mountains for the nature lovers, you have the real first place where the new world began (Columbus). Town is at 10 min from resorts (all inclusive) not to expensive, and a good night life to (disco's). So you will find also about 20 or more excursions (don't buy them in the hotels, to expensive)
