  1. It depends on the terms for each.  With a loan you have to make payments and depending on the financial situation of the company that may be a problem. However, you maintain complete control of the company.

    With the investor, there are no loan payments but you do have someone else that you have to answer to. If the percentage that the investor buys is small enough, this may be the better choice. Make sure that all the details are spelled out in the agreement to prevent problems.


  2. A loan. It serves the same end without having to give up any control.
