Which would you suggest? Contacts or Ortho-K? why?

also, please give me advice on how to convince my dad to let me get contacts!!! thanks!! :D

I would suggest regular contact lenses over OrthoK.  The idea behind ortho K is that you sleep in a lens overnight and it reshapes your cornea (the surface of your eye) to correct your vision.  The problem is that your vision will be best when you first wake up in the morning, as the day wears on, your eye will start to return to it's natural shape and so vision will get blurry again.  Also it seems a bit extreme.

How to convince your dad?  Well you should know how better than anyone else..but you can let him know that OrthoK would require a lot of follow up visits with the doctor to get the prescription right.  whereas regular contact lenses are easier to fit.  If you play sports, you can also use the angle about how it is easier to be active with contacts vs glasses.  hope that helps!
