Whick pokemon generation/game is best...now which starter is best?

i have a gb, gba and ds so i wanna a pokemon game...i really like johto but kanto and hoenn arent bad either.....sinnoh doesn't convince me as much....HELP!!

I personally think that pokemon gold and silver are the best versions made. Mostsly because i think it's the most original and fun game pokemon game to be made. Especially cause at the end, you get to play Red and Blue versions too! I think that chikorita (not sure if thats how it's spelt) is the best starter! It's baisically the strongest grass pokemon to be made (in my opinion) and it evolves the fastest of the 3! If you choose it, youre rival chooses the fire type, which is easy to beat, because water pokemon are very easy to find! It also has an awesome cry :)

Well it looks like Pokemon Fire Red is for you. Gold and Silver are... i think terrible. The story sucks and the place is just small. It isnt fun when the walk to the next town is 2 seconds. Thats why i like Red/Blue/Yellow/Fire Red/Leaf Grean and Emerald/Ruby/Sapphire the most. I say fire red is because you have the original 151 pokemon and then the gold/silver pokemon once you beat the elite four. Now Emerald in my eyes is the best because you have the sweet storyline with Magma and Aqua and Groudon and Kyogre and Rayquaza and all the pokemon of the first three generations. I havent played Diamond/Pearl yet so i wouldnt know about them but go with Fire Red/Leaf Green or Emerald.

i tie between ruby and pearl piplup the best
