  1. I would say about 90 mins.  I doesn't hurt and I think you need the time for conversion of the sugars so that the yeast can metabolise it easily.   It wouldn't hurt to add dried hops as well- add them during the boil for bitterness or when it is cooling for extra hoppiness


  2. 2 or 3 minutes at a roiling boil will do the trick.

  3. Since the extract is hopped you do not need a long boil. Boil the extract-wort for twenty or thirty minutes. Make sure it is a good rolling boil. This will do the sanitation of the wort and create a hot break to clear and improve the flavor of your beer.

    If you continue to brew I suggest not using pre-hopped extracts. They usually do not tell you about how it was processed. This limits your knowledge and thus control of the style of beer you are brewing.
