  2. Hey there

Let me give you a piece of important advice. If you think that you will be able to fund part of your education by working part time in the US you should think again. Any postgraduate degree in the US or anywhere is time consuming. Which means, you will have to work at the cost of your grades. If you are working to support your college tuition, you wont be able to cope with both. Part time job should take very less if your time and whatever you earn from them should contribute to your daily expenses like food clothes and other stuff. Donot bak on part time job to pay your major bills like tuition.

have you thought of a student loan ? there are several companies that provide easy student loans. My sister went to America to study last year and she required funding .. the company that helped her was Credila. They were excellent ! for more information you can check out

    best of luck ! http://www.educationloannetwork.com/acti...

  3. The university itself will sometimes offer u part time job or else u can find one for urself. Don't expect ur part time job to be a very proffessional one. U'll get jobs as a librarian, admin, sweeper, Cafe or even as a dishwasher or in the pertrol bunk. It is something very common. Every student does this. Even I worked as a sweeper, ice clearer, dishwasher then as nano tech engineer. So please  prepare ur mind.

  4. i don't know about how much money you might need from India, and i would not be able to help you with the financial aid process on the Indian side.  but I certainly can help you with the american side.  Obviously you are an international student.  yes you will be able to get a part-time job as a student worker, upto 20 hours per week.  that is the legal limit.  and most probably, it will be an on-campus job.  it will help cover some expenses, but given the limited availability of financial aid for international students, it may not cover all your expenses.  try out for interships or assistantships, as they can give you education-related experience and some money.  internships are usually for the summer, but if you do good in them, chances are you will be able to secure a permanent position with the company you interned for.   you, as an international student, will not get federal aid, but you are welcome to try out for private scholarships if you would like.  there are some good search engines like www.collegeboard.com, or www.fastweb.com.  but beware of scams, you should not have to pay to get information on scholarships or to apply for them.  try to get in regular touch with your schools financial aid.  that way, you would know of any opportunities or of any deadlines you might have to meet.  you have to be proactive here, as chances are the person helping you with your financial aid, your financial aid advisor, would not be after you all the time.  turn necessary paperwork in on time to avoid delays in your fin-aid process.  good luck.
