  1. NOT totally ignore, but I don't like the stereotypes.

I like the music of some artists today but mostly I like the old ones.

I like the simple life before but I can't think of a life without the internet for a quick research.

It's kind of like 60% past, 40% present.

    Why?

  2. Music was way better in the 60s, 70s, 80s.

  3. I grew up in a traditional fogey type family.  AND I didn't have many mates so this added up to me liking things from the past generation but not knowing much about mine.  I hadn't heard of a video game until I was 13 years old and I had never played on one.  My family is not rich and we don't get a lot of money.  My nan and granda especially don't like video games because they think 'they are a waste of space'.

I suppose I did ignore things of my generation.

  4. No, when I was growing up I embraced all the new things of my generation, like punk music and thought I knew it all.   I think that's true of most young people, they think that life revolves around them and that anyone older than themselves doesn't understand music, fashion, life, school or anything relevant.

Oh how youth is wasted on the young.
