Adjusted the electric brake controller and applied more to the trailer brakes which seemed to help, never experienced this before. What should I check first?

  1. yup, check your load, you are transfering weight off the front wheels -- dangerous condition.

  2. Your load has shifted or is incorrectly loaded......

  3. better have the front end checked by an expert

  4. Too much weight on the towbar, making the car front wheels lift off the road. Put more weight to the back of the trailer or use level rides.

  5. You may need the front end of your vehicle checked.  Possibly something loose or tire problem.  If you were applying the brakes, could be a warped rotor if disc brakes.

  6. cargo-
