  1. No day off.

However every week they will have time off, if they did not get into too much trouble. During their time off they can phone home.

Everyday they will have a couple hours to write letters.

  2. The first few days is conversion. They buy the uniforms, toiletries, get their hair cut, etc, etc,

Eventually they will be showed military folding and storing in footlockers, etc.

about 1/2 way through they will get h**l week and wind up almost there with just a few more weeks to go.

As for breaks, they won't get one of those for a while. Most breaks are in-barracks and only when your like week 6 to 8 are you free enough to travel to the phone center...unless by some kind of company wide arrangement.

Then again, this isn't meant to be a script. Things have changed alittle since i've been in and they drill seargents might be a little more "softer" due to todays more politically correctness.

  3. While in basic the first day he gets there he will call you to let you know hes there ok. After that he cant call till after graduation. The only way to communicate is by letters.

  4. Boot camp?  No.  Sundays only they have a few free hours, but they must earn phone calls..don't expect any the first 4 weeks.  in A school.. they have  more free time..weekends and the like

  5. awhh hes in milataryy

dunt wryy he can cal you theres phones there

  6. I don't remember "days off" when my hubby went through basic training (it's been 10 years) but he did get to call me at least 3-4 times over the 3 months he was there. Mostly we snail mailed each other.

  7. ya because i was in military and i got to phone anywhere
