While the libs are frothing over Palin's grandchild, did anyone notice that Iraq was going well this weekend?

We are handing the Anbar province over to Iraq control today. This is probably the single most important piece of territory yet that has been turned over, as it was the hotbed of insurgent activity until the surge.

For those of you who may have missed it, this is good news, and another indication that the "win the war" philosophy of Bush and McCain was more preferable to the "start leaving now" philosophy of Obama and the rest of the cut 'n runners over the past year or two.

I think the whole "cut and run" is moot now that Iraq demands a timetable for leaving completly. And it's not too far from the one Dems wanted.
