While travelling to India, you can take 2 litres of alcoholic beverages. Does this apply to kids above 2 too ?

Can we take 8 litres if there are four of us travelling, 2 of which are kids ?

  1. duty free allowances only apply to persons over 16 years of age (possibly 18, but no younger than 16)


  2. As per prevailing customs rules, only passengers of 10 years and above are only allowed the free baggage allowance of 2 litres of alcoholic beveragesand other duty free allowance.

  3. Yes, One of my friends had the same kind of issue and he took the risk, his 2 sons were 8 and 5 then. You should buy where you have a break journey and dont disclose the to customs in india, just say its clothing in there.
