i've tried everything i can think of. i've reset tha factory defaults. i have turned my router off and unplugged it for 30 seconds. i've called xbox 360 support and i have talked to 2 agents which both were not able to help me. i am using Microsoft's Wireless Network Adapter. If it helps i am using a Router: Linksys, Model: WRK54G. I am using Charter as my cable company.

  1. Your xBox needs an IP address from your linksys router. Log into your linksys router and make sure that your DHCP server is turned on. It probably is, but better to double check.

When working with your xBox, make sure that the IP settings are set to DHCP. After doing so it should grab an IP from the router and pass the test.

If it doesn't, assign the IP manually

IP 192.168.1.xx (anything between 2 and 99 would be best)

    netmask 255.255.255.0

    gateway 192.168.1.1

DNS - 192.168.1.1 ( or use what your computer has when you type in "ipconfig /all" into the command line)

    Hope this helps!
