Whirlpool Dishwasher?

Question

I have a whirlpool dishwasher model DP940PWS. It stopped half done and won't resume. The start/resume button is flashing. Please answer.

LOOK DOWN IN THE BOTTOM OF THE DISH WASHER,WHERE THE WATER PUMPS OUT,SEE IF YOU SEE ANYTHING KEEPING THE PUMP FROM RUNNING,ALSO LOOK AROUND THE DOOR GASKET AND SEE IF ANYTHING IS BLOCKING THE DOOR FROM GETTING A GOOD SEAL.DOES THE MOTOR HUM WHEN YOU TURN IT ON,IF SO THIS MEANS THE PUMP IS HUNG UP,NO BIG DEAL,YOU'LL HAVE TO HAVE SOMEONE COME OUT AND RELEASE IT.

First try unplugging the dishwasher for awhile, then plug it back in to see if it resets itself.  It just might work fine after that.  If you need more help troubleshooting, go here:  http://www.repairclinic.com/0088_9_1.asp

Make sure there is nothing under the float that measures the water in the tub. Then try the cancel drain cycle. And yes, cutting power to it will reboot the board and sometimes clears up computer brains.

Other than that it sounds like you need a service call.
