Whirlpool Duet dryer is making a knocking noise.?

Question

When the dryer is on, it makes a knocking noise as though it was out of level. Is this normal. I don't think so.

Kind of pathetic when you purchase a brand new machine and your calling a service man in before it literally makes it in to your home, isn't it?

Same here.....My brand new duet dryer is making the same noise. It sounds like the drum is hitting the right side panel.  I got it delivered on June 4, 2010.

I have a brand new Whirlpool Duet dryer.  It is making a banging sound like it is either not level or has a loose fan belt. It was just delivered yesterday, June 9, 2010. I will be calling the store where I bought it tomorrow.  It is TRULY pathetic that it's brand new and doesn't work properly.
