In our Whirlpool side by side refrigerator / freezer Model ED25CQ, water drains in the freezer side under the lowest food bin where it collects and freezes. I have to break it up and remove it every few days. Three times, repairmen have cleared ice out of the drain behind the lowest bin and said that the heater which keeps the water from freezing when it goes into the drain and eventually into the evaporator under the refrigerator wasn't working properly. Each time, after a few weeks of working okay, the problem developed all over again.
