  1. whiskey, beer is usually at most only 8 or 9% abv unlike whiskey which is usually at least 40% abv. but whats even worst is an Irish car bomb ( whiskey and Guinness mix)

  2. Since you said the same UNIT amounts:

Whiskey.  Since it is a higher concentration of alcohol, your liver will have a harder time to process whiskey than it would beer.

Even if you drink it over the same time period, you will have more damage done by whiskey than beer.  But if it's only a couple units, then it's not actually much damage, heck if its 1-2 units, it's beneficial (even whiskey!).  You will get about the same BAC from either source.

I would like to state what I believe to be the cause of the beer belly.  It is that when you are drinking beer, you get hungry.  Somehow you can eat more than you ought to, and you want things such as pizza, cheeseburgers, sausage, etc.  How exactly is that not contributing to your large stomach?

No, I would propose that beer is beneficial.  True beer, not exactly this bud/miller/coors thing so many of us think of as beer.  A true beer will be made from malt and hops.  Malt will actually provide some B vitamins and make the beer better for you than soda, or even water.  The alcohol in the beer is also beneficial, but only up to about 2 drinks a day.  So, I propose that by drinking 1-2 beers a day, and drinking water the rest of the day, people should be able to lose weight.  From experience, 1-2 beers is not enough to want chicken wings or pizza, so no beer belly.  (I gained weight after I stopped drinking beer, so the contrapositive must also be true, eg, I would lose weight when I started drinking beer; look up contrapositive if you don't follow).

  3. they both will knock ya off your feet.......whiskey though...sometimes it depends the kind...or depends the brand ...but whiskey

  4. I'd guess the beer. The extra sugar and other ingredients are not that healthy for you, but let's face it you don't drink either of them for your health. So just pick the one you like and drink in moderation.

  5. whiskey will get you more drunk.

    liquor is quicker :)

  6. beer because you gets a beer belly

  7. Beer is better for you, naturally.  It's full of grains (hops, barley, malt) and actually contains high levels of antioxidants which inhibit free radicals (they attack cells and kill them, and low levels of antioxidants can lead to many illnesses, including cancer.

On the other hand, whiskey kills brain cells all by its little lonesome.  It's good though.  Especially a nice single malt.  Especially if it's Irish Whiskey in my opinion.  Bushmills and Jameson (or Paddy's) aren't top of the line, but they are available, relatively inexpensive and delicious.  Sip it straight with a little splash of water.  Don't mix it in drinks.  Use something cheaper for that.

  8. That would be whiskey. Beer you can drink and drink. Whiskey can only get drunk for a while. You can't drink 12 oz. of whiskey without getting trashed.
