Here we present career portraits of the threesome:
Whitcombe Spirit
Jamie Poulton’s black gelding has perked up his confidence to a great extent by winning a race on January 30, 2012. Fighting against 3 rivals, he ran well and finished first convincingly. Prior to this, the seven-year-old got pulled out in a contest on January
17 and finished 4th at Lingfield on January 5.
As a whole, the brilliant gelding has won 2 out of his total 35 starts so far. The Telscombe Racing-owned runner seems to be in a favourable position to register his second straight victory today at Lingfield, having 80 percent chances to thrive.
Watergate
Trained by Richard Rowe, the grey gelding has been performing well for last four months. After finishing 2nd each in two races during November-December 2011, he got 6th spot on January 2, 2012. Being a 6-5 favourite, the six-year-old
runner accomplished a fabulous victory at Folkestone on January 17.
In his last outing on January 31, the gelding finished 4th. As a whole, Watergate has been a promising runner throughout his career. He is likely to deliver well again today and finish at least 2nd at Lingfield.
Oscar Charlie
The Paul Henderson-trained black gelding notched up his first and last triumph on January 2, 2012. Following this, he finished 6th in a race on January 12. Overall, the seven-year-old has run for 10 times so far.
The gelding is likely to demonstrate a decent run today and finish 3rd in the race.
Conclusion
Each of the above trio possesses enough talent and skills. Thus, there will be tough tug of war among them at Lingfield. Their outstanding performances will fill the event with thrill and sensation. Let us get ready for the action. Good luck to all the horses.
