White Burgers?

Question

My husband used to be in the Navy and he said that when he was over seas, he went to a BK or McDonalds and ordered a burger. He said that the meat patty was white, not the usual brown.

Why and what is it?

it could have been a vegetarian burger...when i was in india beef is illegal to sell for eating purpose so they only have chicken, fish and veggie burgers
