Question:

White Men Can't Jump?

WHITE MEN CAN'T JUMP asked a simple question about the average tip for caddying at Muirfield Village this summer. He received 3 answers of which none really answered the question. The question is now in the "Vote for Best Answer" phase and over 200 votes have been cast. Why would anyone have so much concern about this simple question? Is Yahoo!Answers screwed up? I've found best answers questions in the answer section, answered questions in the best answer section. It's as though all of the golf forum questions have blended in with each other. Has anyone found this in other forums? Maybe Yahoo!Answers is getting too big to control.

  1. I looked at that question and you're right. 200 votes cast? Appears suspicious.

As for the other part of your question, I have noticed that the unanswered questions, resolved questions, and the questions in voting are mixed together. Maybe Y!A is getting too big and uncontrollable.

  2. people vie for easy points. Putting in some random number scores points. just like the blokes here who violate people for nothing...

  3. This really does sound suspicious....you should report it to someone, but then again...who really cares how many points a question has...it isn't as if my career or income depended on it.

But I do understand the principal of the thing..

  4. Some questions seem so stupid that people just put in joke answers - I don't know why two hundred people would vote on one question's answers though.
