White Pride and cant do anything?

If you are black and proud no1 calls you a racist. or asian or hispanic,etc.

When i say im white and proud everyone calls me a racist, well except most of the hispanics. And if you say it infront of a black person you are racist and they start yelling at you. If you are proud of beign white you shouldnt hide it!

Well i mean ...like there's not too much Pride and things you should be proud of your white ancestors i mean...they enslaved black people just because they were black. WTF! ...thats just stupid ...and not right...

Edit: you can be proud of your ethnicity but you don't put others down and make yours seem Superior..

someone asked this before and i had a good answer for it but i cant find it anymore. Basically i said its taboo to say white pride because for some white supremacist groups that was there motto. They killed a lot of people with that ideology. Secondly when i think of the word Pride i think of oppression. To have pride ones race must hit rock bottom and know suffering. only then can you rise up and love yourself and your race regardlesss of what people say or do to you. To me that is pride... something that you learn an earn through hardship. when i say i have black pride I 'm not saying "I love being black! I love my black skin!" I'm saying "I love being black and I love my black skin BECAUSE>>>(reasons)<<<< ".  I think its loving yourself regardless of how youve been treated or how unworthy society deems you.

White have alwasy been on top and have never known oppression at the hands of another. Therfore for me they can not honestly know the true underlining meaning of Having Pride. Its not something you can just say or declare, but rather something you feel. . .

Dude, if you actually had someone start yelling at you for saying you were proud of your whiteness, why didn't you just tell them, what you are telling us?  Racial pride is silly, and I don't care what color you are, black, white, pink, or green.  Look deep inside yourself and find something that you have done to be proud of, and not something as superficial as skin color.  I think Michael Jackson has shown us that even that can change, if we want it too, lol.

I am white but can't say I am actually proud of it.  I had no control or say in determining my color or race.  I am proud of my accomplishments and those of my family, friends and fellow countrymen.  I am proud of being an American because I chose to be one.  I am proud I am Christian because I chose to be one.  I am proud I am a husband and father because I chose to be one.  Although I am happy to be tall, I am not proud of it because I did not choose to be tall.   The same with being a male, having hazel eyes, and being white.  The outside is just that, outside.  Be proud of what your accomplishments and things you have a direct influence on.  Let the things you cannot control go and be happy with what you are.

When people say that kind of thing they are talking about culture. Race has almost no relation to culture. Black Americans can't claim any ethnic heritage because that was stripped from the slaves who came here. They lost their cultural identities, chances are you still have yours. You can claim to be proud of being Irish, Italian, WASP, or whatever you are, so why don't you?

Aside from that, you're white supremacist friends ruined any chance of you being openly white and proud without being stigmatized.

Hey, I understand. There's nothing wrong with being proud of who you are but when you say you're white and proud they think about white supremacists. You could say you're proud to be Irish, Italian, British etc. and no one would care and it's less offensive that way.

No one has a problem with you saying you're proud to be white. The problem is the people who are saying it to spread racism i.e. the ones who say there should be no race mixing because the white race/black race, etc. shouldn't be "diluted." I think the difference is also in the words used. White pride just means you're proud of your race. White Power means you want to wipe out every other race so that only whites are left.
