  1. Stay North/West of The Ball Park and you will be fine. South/ East you may have a problem. During a game, there are so many Cops around there, it's a joke, so believe me you shouldn't have a problem. Marie

  2. yeah its pretty safe...the area south of the park (like south of 43rd St) not so much....

  3. LOL, no way!

The projects are right there, icky!

  4. Well the area around Sox Park is nothing like Wrigley Field...there's pretty much nothing around the ballpark as Jerry Reinsdorf wants you to spend all of your money at the ballpark, not in the neighborhood where it might actually improve things in the long run.

So being new to the city...sure take the red line to 35/Sox Park you'll be just fine, but you know...

don't go wandering around the area because the neighborhood is nice around the ballpark but it changes really quickly, and definitely don't take the red line any further south than Sox Park because it does get pretty rough.

If you want to hang out afterwards and eat go to Chinatown or something, it's just one stop north on the red line.

  5. the south side generally isnt too safe but if u were wondering just because u were going down to the field ull b fine if u take the L and its very populated during games
