  1. The chance of a white tiger being born is usually about 25% when both parents have recessive genes that encode for the fur. The reason why white tigers can't survive in the wild is because the white makes them stand out. They would never make it past childhood since they would be easy for predators to spot.

  2. yes whithe tiger have no chance in the wild

  3. White tigers are Bengal tigers with a genetic condition called leucism, which results in reduced pigmentation. This is not the same as albinism, which is a total lack of pigment - an albino tiger is completely white (no stripes) and has pink eyes, not blue. Both leucism and albinism do occur naturally in the wild, but are very rare, since both conditions are passed on by recessive genes and are generally detrimental to the animal. Most white individuals will not make it to adulthood, since their colouring makes them stand out as an obvious target for predators, and those that do have a hard time hunting for the same reason - they lack the natural camouflage of normally-coloured tigers, making it easier for their prey to see them coming. As they are a draw for zoos and wildlife parks, white tigers have been intensively bred in captivity, meaning that many of them are inbred and suffer the detrimental effects.

  4. It is a birth defect beacuse i tigers in the wild there world is basicly all green and if you where a white tiger at birth in a world that is all darker colors. you whould stick out like a green thumb. and have a hard time surving.

  5. its not a birth defect. u have a chance of having a white tiger cub in every litter. its just that almost all of the wild white tigers die b/c they can't catch food b/c their prey sees them. thats y u dont hear bout them most of the time.

  6. White Tigers are not found in the wild..only zoos. White Tigers are the result of serious inbreeding and most of them are born defective and don't survive. If by chance one was born in the wild, it wouldn't survive to adulthood.
