White eyeshadow primer?

Question

I know primer is meant to keep eyeshadow on for long periods of time. But i was wondering if the color matters. I saw a white one that went on clear would that be more reasonable then a colored one?

I use a white one that stays white and it just allows the color to pop more so that when I apply my eyeshadow the true color of the shadow shows rather than a faded one.  It also allows it to stay on all day without fading.
