Question:

White larvae in the soil of my mint plant.?

My mint plant is infested with thousands of tiny white larvae that seem to like to keep close to the roots. I have tried putting some slug pesticide granules but did nothing to the larvae and almost killed my mint.

Does anyone have an idea how to get rid of them and how to prevent them from hatch in my plant pot again?

Many thanks!

  1. You're right trying to get rid of the larvae before they totally destroy your plant and develop into flies that will lay more eggs and continue the cycle. I water at the sink totally drenching the soil and letting it drain well with a mild solution of dish detergent and water and use the same solution to mist both the undersides and tops of the leaves. Also, there is insecticidal soap that can be purchased at a local garden centre but the dish soap is more readily available.
