Question:

White marble sized clumps in toilet?

I'm on day two of my yeast infection medication. I purchased the Monistat 7 suppository kit because I read the 7 day treatment usually works the best and the suppositories are less messy. I put it in at about 7pm last night. I went to the bathroom at 5am and when i got up I saw all these marble sized clumps in the toilet. i didn't get any out and examine it (gross). Has this ever happened to anyone else? Any idea why the suppository didn't melt? I had no problems with the one from the first night. Will this affect my treatment?

or could this be some kind of cervical mucous? I've been without a period for 2 1/2 months and went to the doctor for a pregnancy test, and if I wasn't pregnant, to get on birth control since my cycle has been acting kooky. She gave me the standard pee test it was negative. She gave me a prescription for birth control pills Kariva. I waited 2 more weeks and only had protected s*x and took another pregnancy test just in case (negative) and then started the pills. I'm on day 3 of them. Don't know if this makes a difference or not.

also before the yeast infection, which just seemed to begin a few days ago, I had a LOT of white mucous without odor or itchiness and a LOT of clear very thick stretchy mucous everyday also I felt as horny as I did as a teenager, which is very excessive, hormones must be outta control I doubt the discharge was from ovulation since it was excreted everyday. A few days ago I started to get itchy and s*x was uncomfortable, the same symptoms of a previous yeast infection so I went and got the Monistat. First time using this brand and first time using suppositories.

  1. i have used those suppositories also.  they do clump, so i went back to using the creams.  since you went to the doctor, and he told you nothing to alarm you, don't worry.  if you still have problems after your treatments, go back for some more tests.  sometimes we have a bacteria infection instead of yeast.  in that case, you would need antibiotics.

  2. it s the medication. But you should have a swab taken by your doctor.

  3. I think that you have a hormonal problem. You need to just keep taking the bc meds and the monistat. also, the sepositories just didn't melt. just keep the treatment up and don't worry. Take a warm oatmeal bath for the mucus and youll feel better.

  4. I would definately recommend going back to the Doctor and telling him/her ALL of your symptoms. Especially the fact that you have recently started taking birth control pills, which affects your normal flora and may be a major cause of your problems. I wouldn't worry too much most everything you said seems typical, but the Doctor may give you something stronger than "over the counter" meds, this may be all you need!
