White powder from Ice Dispenser

What is it? Why do I have it? Is it safe? Have some sort of fine white powder coming out of the ice dispenser in the fridge... What do I do?

could be baking soda if you guys keep some in your fridge or freezer.

We had the same problem a couple years ago and the sears guy told us that it was either the baking soda like the guy said or it could be but, we didn't have any in there. He told us that it was probably from one of the motors of some part in the ice maker but, it won't harm anything just wipe it with bleach water or vinegar water and it will eventually stop and it did!
