White sauce foods? need help anyone?

i often make bacon pasta ...cook the pasta then fry some bacon that's cut into small strips in a little olive oil then when the bacon is cooked add creme fresh and then grate some cheese into the whole thing and allow it to warm up so that the creme fresh and cheese mix into a cheese sauce then just add your pasta mix it all in together and you have a yummy meal that takes about 10 mins to make

I am not sure if you are familiar with the greek appetizer, spanikopita. If you are, you could drizzle some on the top, and broil until slightly browned. It is tasty on top of pizza too. It is a very versatile sauce. You could even try it on omlettes.

Steamed cauliflower is a calssic to be topped w/ a white or cheese sauce

Any casserole dish that calls for canned cream of ____ soup can be made using a homemade white or cheese sauce instead

Boiled pearl onions in a white sauce is pretty traditional

Poached salmon in is often served w/ a white sauce that has shredded or minced cucumber in it

Of co urse, broccoli is often topped w/ a cheese sauce.

Basic White Sauce

2 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 cup milk

In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Add flour and stir until the butter and flour are well combined. Pour in milk, stirring constantly as it thickens. Add more or less milk depending on desired consistency.

Cheese Sauce:

To hot white sauce, stir in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, stirring over low heat until melted.

This is a traditional Yorkshire dish

But try this Take one medium onion and dice put in milk and bring to the boil then simmer until the onion is soft them make a white sauce with this mix and pour over freshly made Yorkshire Pudding

For a good Yorkshire pudding Measure  Plane flower (use a cup or glass) put in a mixing bowl then fill to the same level with eggs put in mixing bowl then the same amount of milk and water MIXED (not one lot of milk and one lot of water) mix and put in to hot oiled moulds.

The sky is the limit.  I use white sauce (or turn it into cheese sauce) all the time with pasta.  Add vegetables like peas or broccoli, add a meat like tuna or browned ground beef or sauted cubed chicken.  It's a meal.  Whatever you have on hand.

Hi fish will go with either sauce, you could make a chicken supreame just add chicken to the white sauce then add to rice.

Cheese sauce could go with spagettie or pasta for like a macaroni cheese etc. or cauliflower.

Just try experimenting with different things,
