White smoke like substance being thrown from AC

Question

I have a window AC and I turned it on and noticed some white smoke that starts coming out when the compressor turns on. Its not dust, but white smoke and has no smell. what is going on?

I think the pigeon pope living under your AC must have died.

You probably have some condensation inside the unit that's coming out as water vapor.  It should stop after a little while.

Might just be condensation, which should stop after a while. Otherwise, Sounds like a freon leak to me- happened in my mom's car's AC. If so,there are some do-it-yourself guides to stopping freon leaks on google, but that's the kind of stuff I just wouldn't mess with unless I knew what I was doing. Better to get a trained technician to go ahead and fix it.

Also put a health article about freon in there, in case you're worried. It's generally not very dangerous.
