White spots after taking braces off?

okay, i've had my braces for 8 years.

yeah. long freaking time.

i'm getting them off soon.

but i'm just wondering, like after 8 years, of course my teeth aren't as white as they were.

so do you think i'll have white spots?

and if i do, how could i get rid of them..?

I have them too and I was concerned but my dentist emailed me these instructions: Keep your teeth clean! Brush at least twice a day.

Do your best to stay away from soda pop/anything carbonated.

Make sure to brush your back molars. This is a common place for calcification to appear.

Try not to eat as much sugar. Excess sugar can facilitate decalcification.

Do NOT use whitening toothpaste

Brush!

Always floss, even thought it might hurt because it will help you in the long run!

Find an orthodontist that can polish your braces, it feels a bit uncomfortable but removes the white marks.

Warnings-Stay away from candies and soda.
