White stuff on m&ms safe?

okay so i had this bag of M&M's in my room for about a month or so, and i didnt open in it. it was in one of those twisty bags like you get in the grocery store, so some air could get in. when i opened the bag, there was this white substance on the M&Ms. Not a lot, and it could be easily scratched off with my nail, but i was wondering what this substance is, and if its okay to eat ?

yes,they are fine they've gotten hot and sweat and now obviously in right temperature.

Thats happens during the hot months

most chocolate items will do this if they have been in warmer temps.
