White water based paint turning yellow?

Question

2 coats quality water based white paint used in hall. Starting to yellow in corners and shiny like glue. Why? Non Smokers.

David:   I would say the turning yellow is from not properly  cleaning or priming your walls before painting.  You said quality paint, so that rules out $12.00 paint, which will yellow.
