Whitner: Chuckling Pats Won’t Happen Again Sunday
The Buffalo Bills are looking to do something they have not done since 2003: beating the New England Patriots. On Sunday, the safety Donte Whitner and the Bills will be going it hard on the Patriots, as
they look end an 11-losing skid against their AFC East division rival.
Last Thursday, the 25-year-old Whitner told reported about his experience every time they dropped a game against the vaunted Patriots squad.
"Grown men laughing at other grown men on the football field. That happened toward the end of the ballgame last week," Whitner said right after they suffered 34-7 drubbing to the Green Bay Packers last
Sunday. "And it happens every time we play New England."
The Bills, who also loss their season opener to the Miami Dolphins 15-10, have been struggling both  offensively  and defensively, as they just covered 352 yards and allowed 642 yards against their opponents.
Bills headcoach Chan Gailey admitted that they have to defend well the Patriots, especially quarterback Tom Brady, if they want to win and end the skid.
The Bills have never won against the Patriots in 11 encounters since 2003. Although they managed to narrow the losing gap in their last two games to eight points, the Bills were just too inferior to match
the high-octane Patriots’ offense.
Brady has been sensational in every outing with the Bills, as he went 15-1 and completed 65 percent of his passes for 3,713 yards.
Still, Whitner and the rest of the Bills gang are confident they can exact their revenge this time around.

“We’re ready to beat New England and I know coach wants to go up there and beat New England,” Whitner said. “So we have an opportunity and what we do with that opportunity is up to us,” Whitner said during
Thursday’s practice.
On Sunday, the Bills will try it again once more. However, they are certainly aware that another loss will trigger another chuckle bonanza. Thus, It's up for the safety (Whitner) to prevent another humiliating
moment from a battered franchise.
