Whitsundays for a holiday. Is an apartment on Hamilton Island the best way to go? 4 Adults, 2bed appt?

Depends on what you hope to do and how much you wish to spend.  Hamilton is rather expensive, but you can fly in and there is plenty to do.  The more you spend...the more you get pampered.

My brother lived at Airlie for 6 months and he quite liked Daydream Island.  Check out some of the other islands before you decide.  Also, if you are 4 adults...avoid school holidays.

I have been to south mole island. I found it was very family oriented but cheap and nice, good fun!

I dont know what you are wanting to do there so im not sure which island would be better!
